I started Playin' Hooky Designs in the mountains of Colorado back in 2009 by creating my own style of beanies; designs that can be worn by everyone whether they ski, bike, board, or just want to look like they do.

Playin’ Hooky is my business and passion. In the last two years, entered healthcare as a CNA, graduated nursing school, and earned my dream job as an ICU nurse. Little did I know what

reality had in store as I entered nursing during a pandemic. As you can imagine, it’s a hard time to be a COVID ICU nurse. I put a lot of myself into what I do and I never expected that I would get so much back from the crochet community over the years. So I decided to come back to my hooks to try and find some balance in my life. More than anything, thanks for staying with me. play hooky
