Behind the scenes for burger joint, Tasty Delicious!

Here I am being interviewed for some of the marketing pieces by Studio Cadette | Design. It’s so easy for me to just talk and talk because this project was full of fun surprises. The first was that I was originally tapped by one of my favorite owner’s reps to do a “community service” project: picking the fixtures and finishes for the Old Hilda’s Restaurant, which has been there for forty years. What I thought would be a quick little project turned into a very exciting journey collaborating on the design with the founder for one of the biggest tech companies in the world (who knew they were designers too?). The client brought in a devastatingly incredible group of friends to help with this passion project and honestly, I was just honored to be in the room. I was allowed to do my best work given the direction of creating a 70’s Inverness vibe and finding myself picking colors and patterns that one of my clients excitedly pointed out was the wallpaper in her grandmother’s kitchen. I had so much fun!

Just a bit of texture goes a long way.

That light fixture anchors the design in the entry but also reads just the right amount of drama because of its size and materiality. It's fun to add oversized lighting in a small space because it feels intentional. I also love the way it looks as you walk out to the pool.

It was a cloudy day but it’s always beautiful with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.

This client asked us to come in and furnish her six outdoor spaces so we used a combination of tactile fabrics, sumptuous seating and neutral colors to provide great spots to enjoy the view and hang out with the fam. She has all of her children and grandchildren living within five miles. They are living the dream.

James Bond in a traditional house.

This client bought a really big, traditional home and wanted to infuse some of their ultra-cool, modern style into all the public spaces. So we installed this Boffi kitchen and the most important space in the house went from ho-hum to wow. I love the marble-clad drawer fronts.
