Thirty years is more than a milestone—it’s a legacy.

Congratulations to Sari-Sari Restaurant on 30 incredible years of serving authentic Filipino food, bringing our community together, and creating a place that feels like home. 🇵🇭❤️

Today was a wonderful celebration of the family, friends, customers, and community who have supported this journey from the very beginning. It was an honor to be there and celebrate with everyone.

Thank you for preserving our culture one meal at a time and for showing what passion, perseverance, and hospitality can accomplish.

Here’s to the next 30 years of delicious food, unforgettable memories, and continuing to share the heart of the Philippines with San Antonio.

Congratulations to the entire Sari-Sari family! 🎉

🔥 Grillin’ Sunday 🔥

Some Sundays are made for slowing down… and firing up the grill.

Today’s lineup:
🐟 Whole grilled tilapia with crispy, charred skin
🥩 Juicy NY strip steaks with a perfect sear
🍤 Grilled shrimp—this time I skipped the skewers and tossed them straight on the grates. A little more attention while cooking, but I love how they pick up that smoky char on every side.

There’s just something about cooking over live fire that never gets old. No fancy techniques—just quality ingredients, a hot grill, and good company.

What’s on your grill today?

Adobo Throwdown Throwback Thursday (3.0)

One of the biggest reasons Adobo Throwdown continues to grow is the incredible support of businesses that believe in our mission.

Today's Throwback Thursday takes us back to Adobo Throwdown 3.0, where we had the privilege of recognizing Hilltop Animal Hospital as one of our Datu Sponsors. Pictured is Deputy Event Director Geoffrey Carney accepting the Appreciation Plaque on behalf of Hilltop Animal Hospital, alongside MC Shenel Rimando and Event Director Gene Carangal.

Community partnerships like these help us do more than host a competition—they help us celebrate Filipino culture, elevate Filipino cuisine, and create an event that brings our entire community together.

Thank you, Hilltop Animal Hospital, for believing in our vision and helping make Adobo Throwdown possible. We hope to continue building this partnership for years to come.

Who's ready to see what surprises Adobo Throwdown 4.0 has in store this October?

Ube Throwdown Throwback Thursday (1.0)

Every champion has a story—and some keep writing new chapters.

💜 Throwing it back to Ube Throwdown 1.0, where Chef Belle Stoker earned 3rd Place in our inaugural Ube Dessert Competition.

That podium finish was just the beginning.

Chef Belle went on to earn 2nd Place at Adobo Throwdown 2.0 and 2nd Place again at Adobo Throwdown 3.0, proving that consistency, creativity, and passion can take you to the top year after year.

Also pictured are then PACC-GSA Region Chair Danet Lapiz-Bluhm, celebrity judge Lexi Hazlett, celebrity judge Cassie Montenegro, and Adobo Throwdown Event Director Gene Carangal.

One of the greatest rewards of hosting these competitions is watching talented chefs grow, refine their craft, and return to inspire the next generation of competitors.

Who will be the next breakout chef to make their mark at Adobo Throwdown 4.0?
