When we decided to sell our house, I thought I was ready. I mean, we’d lived there for several years, so how hard could it be to “get it show-ready”?

Turns out, once I started pulling things out of closets and drawers, I realized just how much life had collected in our home. What started as a quick tidy-up turned into a full-on organizing marathon — sorting, donating, editing, and finally staging each space so buyers could actually see the house (not our stuff).

Somewhere between boxing up the kitchen gadgets and color-coding the linen closet, I realized how much lighter, calmer, and more in control I felt — not just because the house was ready to sell, but because everything had purpose and place again. That experience is exactly what inspired me to start OCD Organize Clutter and Design!

Now I help others do the same — whether you’re getting ready to list your home, just moved in, or simply want to reclaim your space without the overwhelm. Organization doesn’t have to be perfect — it just has to make life easier.
