I started this project 4 years ago not knowing what I wanted to do. My boyfriend’s mom helped me with the roses because it was originally going to be a granny square rose afghan. However, I did not want to make that many granny squares and join them all so it sat in the closet for the past 4 years waiting for its glorious return.

Beginning of July, I panicked and didn’t know what to get my parents for their anniversary and remembered that I had all these roses. So I decided on a bouquet blanket and between work and travel, I finished it at 130pm yesterday and their anniversary party was at 4pm yesterday 😅 im not even sure how many skeins of yarn I went through but my bag is considerably lighter than the beginning of the month.

I did the math and there are 10,332 double crochets before the leaves were added. There are 492 leaves and 52 roses. My hands hurt but it was worth it.

Unknown wool in purple
Unknown wool/acrylic in tan/green?
And some hand spun purple wool.

Finished the 6 Day Star Blanket by using the Cirrus Rainbow Cotton Yarn by Juniper Moon Farm in the colorway Gold Rush. The client who ordered this wanted a fun border and it measures 59” in diameter.

I know I probably say this every time, BUT…. This is one of my favorite orders/projects to date. How cute and thoughtful are these Tech Appreciation Kits????

These kits include a customized F***y pack, a pin holder for your badge reel, a smell good ring to pop in your septum for those really rough situations (IYKYK), a straw topper, a couple of pens, a dry erase marker, a keychain flashlight, permanent marker, and foldable scissors!
