Hi, my name is Ashley Falk!
I am the co-creator and Interior Designer of Aura Collective. I am originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan (if only I could have brought the rain with me) and moved to San Diego 7 years ago.

With my Michigan roots intertwined with a relaxed California vibe, I enjoy enhancing the heart and soul of a home by incorporating raw wood and natural finishes. I enjoy working with softer neutral tones with a pop of earthy color but in no way shape or form afraid of going the complete opposite direction towards bold, deeper tones and lots of texture.

I love working with every style as long as it fits my clients personality. The one thing that irks me is when I step into a space and I cannot feel the identity of my client(s). That feeling motivates me to guide my clients in helping them create a space that feels right for them and their loved ones from the moment they walk through the front door.

Many of you have watched me on my journey of self discovery and I am thrilled to show you what I am made of! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your ongoing support and love.

Dearest Friends,

We started Aura Collective with a fire in our hearts and a passion for design. We are both retired hair stylists who have a deep love for art, finely crafted materials, and all things aesthetics. Finding ourselves homebound during the 2020 pandemic (at the time we were living together), we evaluated our careers and dove into our passions, and from that Aura Collective was born.

We began with Home Staging in Real Estate, Professional Organizing, and Interior Decorating and Design. It didn’t take us long to discover that our true talents and passions lie in design and decor. Aura Collective is intended to be a true “collective” for us to merge the world of local artists, artisans, makers, and builders so that we can showcase their work in the homes and spaces of our clients. We pride ourselves on meticulously selecting each piece and look to create the ultimate customized design for each project.

Hi, I’m Megan McCormick!

I see myself as a multipotentialite, who wears MANY hats in my personal and professional life. Originally from Dallas, I currently call sunny San Diego my home.

As a lifelong artist, I have an innate sense for aesthetics, design elements, and overall artistic theory. My favorite mediums of expression include drawing, painting, photography, fashion, hair styling, makeup artistry, interior design and decorating, and event curation. With over a decade of experience in client relations and consultations, I am an expert in manifesting each client’s vision to reality.

Presently, as the co-creator of Aura Collective, I am deeply focused on interior design and decorating, while highlighting unique design elements with handcrafted pieces and one of a kind artwork. I transform spaces using impeccable planning, exquisite taste, and timeless elements! My personal design style is eclectic and bohemian, with a touch of modern sleekness and natural elements. I’m a big fan of bold colors and patterns, but I also love soft palettes and earthy motifs.

I am incredibly grateful for the support of my friends and loved ones in my endeavors over the years, and the opportunity to create within the container of Aura Collective has brought me to a new level of appreciation for my community and my craft.
