One of our personal favorites is to perform site surveys. What is a site survey? Simply put, I measure the space & draw it in AutoCAD.

Why is this such a crucial step? Have you ever had a contractor from Home Depot come to your house & measure your kitchen counters to replace them? How well did that work out for you? What is even more convenient to have one performed for your business or home is that you can quantify the space to know what will or will NOT fit in the room/space. It can also identify where space has been used improperly or opportunities where it can be improved.

This is a Kitchen/Dining space in a small, 600 sq ft apartment. The dining space alone is just as big as the kitchen and the small closet is just an afterthought.

What can be done with this space? With the main bathroom on the other side of the wall and the back wall being shared with the adjacent tenant's kitchen & bathroom, what a great opportunity to turn this into a stacking Washer/Dryer storage.

What about the small breakfast bar in front of the seat? Does it fit a large dinner plate & wine glass? Let's turn this space into a functional multi-use gather space for yourself, guests & necessities.

Retail Design. What does it mean? A lot of psychology is involved with shopping and making that sale. The number one concern for all business owners: return on investment. The age old question is "how do we make the sale?" One solution is creating an environment for your customers, not your product.
This is a flooring retailer who has been in the industry for 25+ years. Word of mouth on your product and/or service is one thing, but word of mouth on YOUR store is a whole new ballgame. Presenting them with a new solution that caters to the customer first.
