And it's been a whole year since you last said goodbye to me. I honestly can say, there hasn't been a day that I haven't thought about you. Though at first it was painful; now, I cherish the moments you sneak up into my thoughts! The world has changed so much since the day you left, I think you will hardly recognize it! I often think of how if you were still with us, just the sight of you would have given me so much comfort!

We talk about you often ... Especially with the girls! Your little one sometimes still calls Ham by your name! And you must have taught him well. Because though he struggled a lot with your absence, he has stepped up into your shoes in ways I didn't think possible! He is so amazing with the girls and he especially knows if we are having a tough day. He will be right there to rest his head in our laps to comfort us, like you always did! And with how things are going lately, we've needed a lot of it! Nothing has ever been the same since you left us...He misses you dearly and so do we!!
