We are Silvina & Mario, owners of Nativa Interiors and this is our story. Twenty years ago, we migrated to the United States with two big dreams: to form a family and to create a company we would be proud of. We were born and raised in Argentina, land of a vast and incredibly immense country territory, wild life and natural woods. We didn’t know back in those days, that all that local context and
inspiring surroundings would then be forever rooted into our DNA. It was in October of 2000, already in the States when we, for the first time, wrote down our dream business in a paper napkin. Our vision was –and still is up to this day- to offer unique high quality furnishings at a fair price. We wanted to create something people would be proud to have in their houses, enjoy every day and last a lifetime. Our first showroom opened just after September 11 of 2001, one of the saddest day in America’s history and an extremely challenging time to start any business. As with most small companies, the first couple years were really tough, Silvina would manage the store during the week and I helped her during weekends. We had no employees at all. With the help of friends and family, we managed to bring goods from South America, sell them at the store and deliver them to customers. Every piece was hand made, had a story, a soul behind it. And the quality was exceptional. We treated every customer’s home as our own home, our customers became our friends and soon people started noticing us as the go-to-place when it came to exclusive furniture. It was amazing, customers would drive from Los Angeles or Arizona on weekends just to visit our showroom! Almost twenty years later, our core value proposition is still untouched and our hard work has paid off as Nativa Interiors has grown to become a staple in Southern California with two beautiful showrooms in La Jolla and Solana Beach covering over 18,000 square feet of product exhibition. We have built our own state of the art furniture manufacturing facility employing over 200 artisans. We serve as the exclusive Lee industries to the trade showroom and carry world class furniture brands like Stressless from Norway, Gamma Arredamenti from Italy, American Leather sofas from Texas and many other premium collections. We have become an exclusive resource for both residential and commercial clients to work with our award-winning interior designers and transform a house into a dream home, to elevate their businesses interiors or to take to the next level their hospitality furnishing projects. Our unique collections have spread over fifteen thousand homes all over the world. In close collaboration with our Interior Design team, we have furnished thousands of homes in Southern California as well as in the South of France, Cabo San Lucas, Telluride, New York, Mexico City, Vancouver, Tokio, and many other corners of the world. We have also participated in world class commercial projects such as the Waldorf Astoria La Quinta Resort and Spa, Arizona Biltmore Resort, La Jolla Shores Hotel, Four Seasons Resort at Squaw Valley. So for all that, we would like to sincerely thank our Nativa Interior’s team that is now formed by over 250 incredible people among interior designers, sales staff, customer service team, staging team, marketing department, product design team, logistics and delivery team (we even have our own delivery truck fleet now!), content creation team and all the experienced artisans and craftsmen. Also a big thanks to our friends, family and most importantly you: our customers.
