In March 1790, the Marquis de Lafayette gifted the main key to the fallen Bastille prison to George Washington. Symbolizing the triumph of liberty over tyranny, the 1-pound, 3-ounce iron key is proudly displayed in the central passage at George Washington's Mount Vernon. Great place to visit for the 250! George Washington’s desk in his library also pictured here. He worked here early in the morning in his office as to not wake Martha.

Small beach condominiums can be a challenge when space is at a premium! Who says a very small island can’t be cute especially when there’s no room to spare. Smaller tight kitchens can be more challenging than a larger one, but we love a challenge!

Woo hoo, progress with cabinets and plumbing happening on our mid Atlantic beach project! More to do but electrical is finished and looking forward to a finished beach front condominium.
