Happy Pride 🌈

When I first moved to SF, I lived in The Castro for 4 years.

Being immersed in this amazing community was one of the most welcoming, joyful, and open-hearted experiences I’ve ever had. They lead with kindness, empathy, and inclusion — and DAMN do they know how to have a good time.

It’s beyond me why anyone would want to silence or shame such a radiant, resilient group of humans.

I’m proud to live in a city that still celebrates love, in all forms, and believes in the power of diversity and inclusion.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Pride.

And if this is just a normal weekend for you, I hope you celebrate love in a way that is meaningful for you.

Project: A Love Letter to Marin

This client and tech founder is obsessed with mountain biking, and wanted his bathrooms to evoke his favorite feelings on his favorite trails in his favorite seasons.

The “Winter Bathroom” draws inspiration from Marin’s hazy winter season. Handmade spans the floor, mimicking the red clay ground. Waterproof Tadelakt plaster covers the walls, mimicking the foggy atmosphere.

Project: A Love Letter to Marin

This client and tech founder is obsessed with mountain biking, and wanted his bathrooms to evoke his favorite feelings on his favorite trails in his favorite seasons.

The “Summer Bathroom” was designed to elicit the vibrant, sunny season in Marin. With handmade, handpainted and a custom Italian light fixture by to embody the blinding sun, this bathroom doubles as a creative backdrop to fuel innovation.

BATHROOMS: the ultimate unifier.

A room that we all use regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, etc.

We are at our most vulnerable in this space, priming us as a bare canvas for creativity and new ideas.
//
This client and tech founder approached us to transform his basic bathrooms into sources of inspiration, uniquely designed to tell his story.

Obsessed with mountain biking, he feels most inspired when cycling in Marin. But since his community is in The Castro (San Francisco), he opted to purchase his residence in the city. He wanted to pay tribute to his favorite region across the Golden Gate bridge, so we took photos and videos from his favorite trails in the Summer and Winter months and designed his 2 bathrooms to embody his favorite places and feelings in his favorite seasons.
