Unbelievable amounts of 💜and joy at my daughter’s high school graduation! We could not be more proud of you, Finn.

You’ve already moved mountains and will forever be my fierce and determined warrior with a gentle and kind heart, creative and curious mind, and enough sassiness and silliness to always keep it real and fun!

P.S. Neither the tiger, princess, nor little girl end up wandering alone in the forest. Her loving brother and parents are right by her side.

The Met Gala in the mid-1990s was not the over the top spectacle it is today. Anna Wintour took over as chair in 1995, the same year as this invitation and photograph.

When I worked there during those years, staff could purchase tickets to a black tie celebration the same night as the celebrity gala. While stars would arrive early, walk up a simple red carpet (that I might have stumbled down at the end of the night), and start with a sit-down dinner, we could join the festivities and dancing after 9:30 pm.

Earlier in the night, I’d host friends at my nearby apartment for cocktails where we would toast and snap photos. We never thought to bring our cameras to the museum, if that was even allowed. Everything was in the moment and it was one of the Calvin Klein slip dress where black tie often meant keeping it to black or white.

Celebrating AAPI Heritage month with a bang 💥 at the inaugural gala, An Evening of Light. What an honor to be a part of this amazing community, embracing our collective Asian heritages in the context of design. Catching up with old friends, sharing the glamorous setting with my fellow SF members, enjoying the stellar performances , I was in awe of the whole production. 👏👏👏

We WON the design star 🤩 challenge last night! We created a real living space for a family in crisis, using repurposed furnishings from their warehouse, in 45 minutes with an audience watching us.

Founder and all around ⭐️ Carolyn Flannery ran the show, the wonderful of was the MC, and the all-star judges included Ali Grosslight of CHD, Alicia Cheung of , Tabatha Petersen of , Jennifer Pezzolo of who donated all the sofas, and Amanda Hardesty Dwyer of fine upholstery workshop who is now training apprentices at Make It Home.

This cozy set up and two bedrooms of furniture will be delivered to a very deserving mother and her two teenage daughters on Friday. We feel so lucky to be a part of furnishing hope as Make It Home has done for over 3,000 families to date.

Please donate to this amazing organization thar is really making a difference in the effort to end furniture poverty and keep furniture waste out of landfills.

We gave these three cabins in the woods a complete makeover. First, our wonderful friends helped us salvage what we could reuse and rehomed what we couldn’t.

Then, we kept our sourcing sustainable, selecting as many vintage furnishings and accessories as possible, or ones made of recycled materials.

Our clients got two cozy, colorful sleeping cabins to host friends and family, and a kitchen cabin, all set for breakfasts and afternoon or evening snacks.
