Wednesday has brought rain showers already and the possibility of more storms to the farm and throughout the Midwest today. Ceramic “weather owls” were a popular trend in the 1970s and our Auntie Lilly at the farm treasured her’s. A half century later, it’s still predicting and it shows a faint pink hue today. Mom has one too…but Auntie Lilly was the true weather recorder and kept detailed daily records of the temperatures and precipitation as well as seasonal household data and dates such as the first/last lawn mowing of each year and basement dehumidifier use 🌤️🦉☔️
