New carpet comes with a warranty for installation and wear and tear. To keep that warranty intact, your carpet needs to be professionally steam cleaned every 12-14 months.
If you have problems with seams coming apart, loose carpet due to poor installation or pre-mature fiber loss and don't have documentation of service, they won't help you.
