Hard to explain to someone who doesn’t garden the absolutely riveting joy of greeting a new day checking in on your plants in pajamas.

This season of room design has wandered into the backyard and I’m loving it. Turns out creating a literal space to bloom applies just as much to my family and I as it does to kid’s rooms and walls. 🌱✨

“I love the way parenthood has changed us.” I said to my husband just yesterday a our 3 year old was being particularly adorable and we were slowed down enough to really absorb it.

Having four children has at once softened us and made us the strongest versions of ourselves.

Yes, there is joy and growth from time spent on things like careers and traveling, but at the end of the day those things only serve to further layer who I am so I can be better at relationships. And the most important relationship I have is the one with my family. Being a mother has been the ultimate gift of this life.

To all the moms today, bravo for holding down the fort and loving beyond the self. It’s the most beautiful way I’ve ever seen to roll through this experience. Enjoy the day!

Being a teen is tough, but having a happy room might help!

It’s so important to me my children feel safe, loved, and comfortable when they’re at home and building our nest with that intention fuels the backbone of my design choices in our home.
