“Strata” was created with Navajo Churro wool, Merino wool, color core yarn and copper strings. 12” x 12”. Feeling the earthy tones as we move into fall.

Join me for my Textural Tapestry Weaving Worskshop at the magical Olive Rush Historic Artist Home & Garden on Saturday, November 7 from 1-4.

Learn the meditative art of weaving in Olive’s historic living room on Canyon Road! We will explore working with color, rich textures and tapestry design on frame looms. All supplies are included with curated fiber packs containing small batch, hand dyed Merino wool yarn and roving, Love Fest Fibers color core yarn, and looms from Hello! Loom.

Night time views of our SOMOSABQ installation. It took me an entire summer of weaving to create the outside and inside of this magical structure. The weather almost took it out right after we got it set up, but we were able to move it to a protected spot. Looking forward to reimagining this piece for future adventures.

You really can weave anything! This is a baby Taos roadside bouquet weaving, created with rabbit bush, purple asters, and juniper. I am will be doing a series of these for my Sustainability class at UNM.

Join me at lovely OmniHum Gallery for my next Textural Tapestry Weaving Workshop! You will create a beautiful 5” x 8” textural tapestry. This class introduces frame loom weaving techniques, encouraging exploration of texture, color, and a variety of materials. Students will learn the fundamental elements of weaving including how to set up a loom while encouraged to play and experiment.

Students will leave this workshop with a small weaving and 2 sizes of frame looms from Hello! Loom so you can continue your weaving practice anywhere.

Saturday, October 17 from 1-4. Class fee of $125 includes all supplies! Register through the link in my bio.
