Tomorrow night the Buck Moon rises.
July's full moon. Named by the Algonquin for the moment a buck's antlers reach full growth in summer heat. Not the finished stag. The push. The uncomfortable, unstoppable, not-yet-ready growth.
This is not a gentle moon.
Blue flash moonstone sits on my bench tonight. White feldspar at rest. Catch the light at the right angle and something shifts inside it. A pale blue luminescence, slow and quiet, like light through deep water.
The Romans called it solidified moonlight. They were wrong about the mechanism. They were right about the effect.
It only reveals itself when the angle is right.
Tomorrow night, find your angle.
The Moonstone Ring. Blue flash. 4mm cabochon. Sterling silver. One of a kind. Size 7.
