Wishing our dear Macy a happiest birthday! Over the weekend, we celebrated our girl the best way we know how - an intimate dinner party with friends, music, w**e, and gooooood food. We love you Macy, happy birthday!!!

A little sneak peek into our Manhattan Beach project.

Fully custom and designed for a family who wanted their home to feel as functional as it is beautifully curated.

Coastal, elevated, warm, timeless!

(Some) design rules are meant to be broken. Mix the metals. Put wallpaper somewhere unexpected. Hang the tiny mirror. Choose the oversized light.

The beauty of design is experimenting with what feels right for you. Sometimes, breaking the rules is what makes a room feel like home.

Our September moodboard: sun-washed interiors, sculptural pieces, warm woods, rich tones, and rooms that feel collected over time.

September feels like the perfect time to reintroduce ourselves and share a little more of the story behind Some September.

What started as two best friends, fresh out of college, dreaming up spaces together has taken us through flea markets, DIY projects, a brick-and-mortar, a rebrand, a very hard goodbye, and ultimately brought us here.

Today, Some September Studio is a residential design studio, owned and operated by two best friends with 12+ years of experience in the industry.

At the heart of our work is the belief that home is about so much more than four walls. It’s about human connection, the memories we make, and all the little moments that make a space feel like home.

We’re incredibly grateful for how far this journey has taken us, and even more excited for what’s ahead.

Thank you for being part of it!

Consider this our running list of home items we’d happily make room for.

If you didn’t know already, Macy welcomed baby Arlo a few short weeks ago! To celebrate this exciting new chapter, we’re sharing the nursery we thoughtfully designed for him. It’s a cozy, collected space created to grow alongside him.

We’re sharing them to help you avoid the pitfalls and create a home that feels thoughtful, timeless, and uniquely yours.

We understand that designing a home can feel overwhelming, especially if it’s your first time navigating the process. Over the years, we’ve seen these common mistakes come up again and again (and have learned many of them the hard way ourselves)!
