Just checking in with an update:

Things are in motion to finally relocate! For the first time in my life, we are leaving Florida and moving state lines. This Sunday, my middle son wanted to sit with a chicken, share scripture and enjoy some hot cocoa (coffee for me) and just reflect on this journey and what our future holds (in our “Florida” backyard). We are so excited for these next steps, but are praying on our path and that the good Lord uses us for His will.

I’m sorry I’ve been a little MIA. The summer was so busy with the boys being out of school, I couldn’t get out to the candle shop much. (Let’s be real, with boys, there’s never a pause button until bedtime) 💙💙💙

The candle shop has now been packed up to RELOCATE!! Please bear with me as we are hopping state lines and finally leaving Florida! As our adventure continues…unique, creative, seasonal candles will soon be offered depending on our move and how quickly things can happen. ❤️

Well, summer is wrapping up and it’s about time for the kiddos to go back to school.

I have been a little MIA on this page as we have been SUPER active with adventures and exploring many different parts of our home state that previous summers didn’t allow.

I absolutely love being a momma, but that means sometimes, my “wants” go back in the shadows so that their light can shine bright!

So many things are in the works for Mother Kluckin Hen House! Stay tuned.

Mega Bites is located in Alabama and you can find her and her freshly baked, AMAZINGLY delicious MEGA cookies at farmer’s markets and trades days around the area. We had samples of her cookies the last time we visited around Easter time. I cannot wait to try more! ❤️

Buckle up! This is gonna be a long one! ❤️

I’m not posting too much because summer is here and my three boys are home and we are BUSY!
💙💙💙

This is a picture of my middle son. The other night we went to the beach for a sunset. (We live 15 minutes from Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, FL).

My son wanted to write a “surprise message in the sand.” Instead of picking up a shell and drawing, he used his heal. He was determined to get this message out! When he was finished it said “GOD LOVES YOU.” Every one that passed by and read it silently and out loud…it made him so proud and excited. One couple stopped and said, “absolutely! And you know what? God loves you too!” He had a huge smile on his face. This small gesture helped spread Love and The Word!

I’m telling you this story because apparently the name of my business “does not reflect a Christian.” With that, I say, Luke 6:37 states: "Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven."

To explain the name chosen for my business (other than it being fun and a conversation starter🤭)

1) “Mother” was chosen because I am a mother of three beautiful boys. Colin, Camden and Cason. Blessings by which the good Lord chose me to be their mother. Another reason for choosing “Mother” was because it instantly shows a woman’s business.

2) “Kluckin.” Spelled with a “K” because of Kara (my first name), but also because I also hatch and raise two of the most delicate breeds of chickens on a very small scale.

3) That brings me to “Hen House.” Hence the “small scale.” We don’t live on a farm, ranch or a homestead. I’m doing the best with what we have. I didn’t want to falsify claims of something bigger. Which is why “hen house” was chosen.

Support this little endeavor of mine or don’t, but do not question my, or my family’s love of the Lord.

On this beautiful, rainy Monday in Sarasota, FL…I will leave you with this…

On this day, take a moment to remember why we have a three day weekend. Why this day is reserved for celebration. Take a moment to be still in the gratitude.

Thank you to all who paid the ultimate price. Thank you to the families that it affected. And thank you to the soldiers of today that, regardless of the possible “cost” have still committed their lives to continuing that fight for our freedoms.

Today we remember and celebrate the fallen. I thank you for your sacrifice. 🇺🇸 God bless the USA

So sorry I have been MIA. Sometimes when you’re in a creative field you need a moment to step back, breathe, pray, and reset.

Taking this morning to “Be Still” in the morning’s beauty with my minis. (if you don’t have TikTok, I will post this video so you can see too!)

We finally finished this little coop. It’s so peaceful. They have fresh kale and the oats are sprouting in the base of the pallets. It’s like my little oasis. I hope they love it as much as I do! 🤭
