Sarasota Snowbirds and Residents: I will be returning to Creative Liberties, and I will be offering a variety of fiber art workshops this season! I am excited to start the season off with a felted pumpkin class. Just in time to decorate your Thanksgiving table!
During our three-hour workshop, you’ll create two pumpkins, one small and one large. Choose from an assortment of autumn-inspired wool colors and make yours traditional, rustic, whimsical, or completely unexpected.
No previous felting experience is necessary. This is a relaxed and creative workshop designed for beginners as well as anyone who simply loves working with their hands.

✨ FELTING FACTS ✨

Did you know that wet felting is one of the oldest textile-making techniques in the world?
Its origins are closely connected with the nomadic cultures of Central Asia, where felt was used to create clothing, rugs, saddle blankets and even coverings for yurts.
Unlike knitting or weaving, felting doesn’t require yarn. Wool fibres are transformed directly into a strong fabric using water, soap and movement.
It’s amazing to think that the same ancient process can still be used today to create contemporary art, clothing, vessels and beautiful home décor.

A big, heartfelt thank you to the wonderful women who joined me for my Copper Wire Plant Stick class at The Artistic Flip Flop this week! 🌿✨

We had a small, cozy group, which meant lots of one-on-one time, good conversation, and so much creativity around the table. I loved watching each of you bend, twist, and shape copper into something truly your own. Just look at these beautiful pieces! 😍

Copper Wire Plant Sticks Workshop

Add a little handmade charm to your favorite plants!

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to transform simple copper wire into beautiful botanical plant sticks for your indoor or outdoor pots. I’ll guide you through the basics of shaping, bending, wrapping and embellishing copper wire to create your own unique designs.

Think flowers, leaves, hearts, spirals, butterflies, or follow your own inspiration! We’ll have examples to work from, but part of the fun is making each piece your own.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll take home two finished copper plant sticks, ready to tuck into your favorite potted plants or give as a handmade gift.

No previous wire-working experience is necessary, and all materials are included.

Please note: Working with copper wire requires some hand strength and dexterity. We’ll provide the tools and instruction, but participants should be comfortable gripping pliers and bending wire.

Ever wondered what you can create with nothing more than wool, water, movement—and a little patience?

Join me for a unique 2-day Wet-Felted Purse Workshop where you'll transform colorful wool fibers into a beautiful, one-of-a-kind purse using a ball as your resist.

🌈 Day One: Build your design with layers of colorful wool.
💦 Day Two: Get your hands wet as we roll, rub, press and felt the wool into a strong, beautifully sculptural fabric.

The magic is watching loose fibers slowly transform into something functional, beautiful, and completely your own.

No previous felting experience needed! Just come ready to experiment, get a little wet, and enjoy the process!

Your plants deserve a little personality.

Join us for Copper Wire Art Plant Sticks, a hands-on creative workshop where you'll transform copper wire and colorful glass beads into two one-of-a-kind decorative plant sticks.

You'll learn simple wire-shaping techniques and create your own design. No previous experience necessary. The finished pieces add a beautiful touch of color, texture, and handmade character to your favorite houseplants.
