Our employee of the month for May is Fawkes! We nominated Fawkes because nobody is more enthusiastic about anything to the level that he shows for any situation on a daily basis. His nickname around our office is “hold my beer”, which sums up his personality perfectly. He is known for diving into everything he does with the pedal to the floor! Thanks, Fawkes, and cheers!

We are excited to share some pictures from the field of another renovation project. This client asked for an updated kitchen, reimagined great room with new built ins next to the fireplace, new foyer (not pictured), and an additional ensuite bathroom for one of the guest rooms (not pictured). We will share more from this project as the finishing touches bring it to life.

These elevations are from an expanded family project we did that has two in-law suites, lower family room, upper family room, 4 car garage, gym, 2 kids rooms, play room, master suite, pantry with bulk storage, large entry porch, and large back porch with patio space below. This house was meant for wide open views whether it is on a beach, near a lake, or over looking a valley as a mountain chalet. This house is made for relaxing! Site visits this week between deadlines and more progress. The bathrooms as this remodel are almost done and the formwork is getting placed today for concrete to be poured on this new custom home here in Savannah, GA! Keep moving forward!

Our employee of the month for March is Hanji! He is the epitome of chill. As the relaxation guru in our office, he makes sure we are not taking things too seriously, and that we enjoy life, relax, and create some space for ourselves. The site is getting prepped for the foundation for this new home going up at the Landings here in Savannah,GA! The foundation will be a raised turn down to bring it above the finish grade by around 30 inches so fill was brought in to be compacted first before the foundation is poured. Renovations can be a challenge! Especially if you are adding a whole new restroom where there was not one before. When we work through a renovation or addition project with a client, we like to ask questions to help the client get the desired space that they will enjoy for the lifetime of their house and home! The three showers in this post are each for different types of bedrooms. One is for a whole new guest bedroom where a home office once was. This will provide a bathroom access just off the kitchen and mudroom as well. The second is to provide an existing bedroom with its own bathroom utilizing space from the master closet. And the last is a large walk-in shower in the master bath where there once was a small stall shower next to the water closet. Each bathroom is still getting their finish touches with cabinetry, bathtubs, fixtures, etc. We will show the finished product soon! What do you envision as your perfect bathroom space? Just in time for Valentine’s Day! Check out our employee of the month for February, Cornelius! This guy keeps the office on their toes for sure. Cornelius can often be found in the office studying the angle of the sun and how it relates to natural light and warmth. He is the go-to guy when it comes to figuring out where to site a house in relation to the sun. We are grateful to him for his warm personality and willingness to keep everyone motivated!
