LM Interiors I help homeowners elevate their spaces by curating color palettes, elegant furnishings, and harmonious decorating solutions. I am an interior color expert.

I help empty nesters revamp, renovate, redecorate, and elevate their homes. Decorating is an art that is constantly evolving. As we move through various phases in our lives it is essential to adapt our surroundings to reflect our changing needs and consequently update and freshen up a space. This could be done minimally or on a larger scale; repainting a room, changing the art on the walls, buying a new area rug, or changing the window treatments are a few ways in which this can be accomplished. A crucial component of my decorating style involves listening to my clients and taking their needs and lifestyles into consideration when determining the best approach for each project. I strongly believe that functionality and beauty should go hand in hand with comfort, which is paramount. I am enthusiastic about my work and I love that I can help my clients transform their spaces. The painting is underway!

The area rug and artwork were instrumental in my decision to take a chance on a deeper focal wall. This guest room gets plenty of natural light, which created a great opportunity to introduce a richer color.

After reviewing several options, Benjamin Moore Caldwell Green HC-124 was the winner. It will bring depth to the room and grounds the bed beautifully against the back wall.

For the other walls, I selected Benjamin Moore Muslin OC-12, a soft, warm hue that feels elegant and calming and balances the deeper green.

Color choices aren't made in isolation. The light in the room, furnishings, artwork, textiles and how the colors relate to one another all play a part. I'm looking forward to seeing this palette come together as the room progresses.

A new direction for a guest room refresh.

Refreshing a room doesn’t necessarily mean replacing everything. For this guest room, I’m revisiting some existing pieces and incorporating them into a new design direction.

The color scheme combines warm coral and rust with muted greens and soft neutrals, while a mix of pattern and texture adds depth and personality. The goal is to create a room that feels fresh and updated while still making thoughtful use of pieces that already work.

This is one of my favorite parts of the decorating process—seeing how existing and new elements can come together to create an entirely different feeling for a room.

Besides the bed there is artwork, a bolster a rug, a nightstand, a table lamp and a dresser that are staying. The color palette has evolved.

Another guest bedroom makeover is underway!

While I wait for the final artwork and a few accessories to complete the guest bedroom project I have been sharing, I have another I am working on.

For this room, the bed and mattress, area rug, nightstand and newer wood dresser are staying. These pieces will provide the starting point for the new design and help determine the direction of the color palette.

One of my favorite parts of decorating is finding ways to work with what is already there. Rather than replacing everything, the right wall color, textiles, window treatments and finishing details can connect existing pieces and completely change how a room feels.

These photos bring a smile to my face because they represent one of my favorite stages of the decorating process—watching the vision begin to come together.

The paint color set the foundation, and now the curtains and area rug have been installed. The patterned drapery adds warmth and character while beautifully complementing the existing maple wardrobe. The soft, washable rug introduces subtle texture and provides a comfortable layer underfoot, making the room feel even more welcoming.

Every selection has been intentional, building on the warm, calming palette established at the start of this project. There is still more to come—bedding, artwork, and accessories—but it's exciting to see how each thoughtful choice adds another layer of comfort and personality.

Sometimes the biggest transformation comes from simply changing the wall color.

The existing maple wardrobe wasn't being replaced—it became the inspiration for the entire palette. The original cool blue walls made the room feel colder and competed with the warmth of the wood.

By selecting a warm, softly muted wall color, the wardrobe now feels intentional, the room feels more inviting, and the entire space has a sense of harmony.

Paint color is one of the most important decisions in any decorating project—but it's rarely as simple as choosing a favorite shade.

In this guest room refresh, the existing maple-stained wardrobe became the starting point for the entire design. Its warm undertones, combined with the room's cool, north-facing natural light, helped narrow the color options and guided every decision that followed.

The goal was to create a space that feels warm, welcoming, and timeless while working with the furnishings that were already in the room. This is where thoughtful color selection makes all the difference. The right paint color doesn't just look beautiful on the wall—it enhances the furniture, responds to the light, and creates a cohesive space.
