Parking lots are already built, already sitting under the sun, and already occupying vast areas of land.
Installing solar canopies above them can generate clean electricity, provide shade for vehicles, reduce heat, and preserve farmland for agriculture.
So the real question is:
Should we prioritize covering open fields with solar panels or make use of the spaces we’ve already developed?
