I finally finished this ceramic mosaic. It has been sitting in the studio for a bit while I'm distracted by our gorgeous spring weather and prepping my flower and veggie gardens. You will find it on display in the latest exhibit at the Rockport Center for the Arts.

I was asked to make a matcha bowl right before Christmas. Not knowing much about matcha, I did some research. Turns out there's a lot to learn about it. AI put it nicely, 'There's something almost therapeutic about preparing Matcha green tea. The deliberate whisking motion, the aroma of the green tea leaves, it's a sensory experience that promotes mindfulness. Matcha's subtle flavor and numerous benefits make it a favorite among many.' I also discovered the whisk needs a holder for airflow while drying. I enjoyed the project, including making the whisk holder, but after trying matcha, I'm not a fan... yet. What's your experience with matcha?

A special Christmas gift.

It's been a long minute, but I'm back. This sculpture has been in progress for the last couple of months in my studio. I'm happy to say it is now on display in the Big Wave exhibit at the Rockport Center for the Arts. It's a wonderful exhibit and is open until January 18th. If you're in the area, take a minute to stop in. You'll be glad you did.
