I created Both/And Paper Co. from lived experience.
From loving people deeply
while also learning that distance can be necessary.
From searching for words that didn’t rush forgiveness,
didn’t minimize harm,
and didn’t pretend that every relationship resolves neatly.
This work is also shaped by my professional life —
as a therapist, educator, and researcher,
listening closely to the stories people carry
about love, loss, boundaries, and belonging.
In my clinical work and research,
I saw how often people lacked language
for relationships that were meaningful and painful,
unfinished and formative,
worthy of care but not easy to name.
Sometimes healing happens privately —
a softening, a release, a settling —
without reopening the door.
This work grew slowly —
out of grief, reflection, prayer, study, and care.
It carries my belief that people are allowed to be whole:
honest and tender,
boundaried and loving,
unfinished and still sacred.
Both/And Paper Co. isn’t about fixing relationships.
It’s about offering language
for what we’re actually holding.
I’m glad you’re here —
whether you stay quietly,
return later,
or simply recognize yourself in the words.

where love and distance coexist,

It’s about honoring what’s real,
and giving language to what is often carried quietly.
