Gina Gutierrez has built her business — and her life — on harnessing the power of the self. Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin but a resident of the Bay Area for seventeen years, Gina’s drive and passion for interior design propelled her to launch Gina Rachelle Design in 2012. Over the years, she has built an interior design studio that specializes in residential homes. Gina’s design aesthetic is traditional with touches of modern elements and clean details. Each project is full of life through the use of colors, textures, metals, shapes and thoughtful furnishings and objects. Gina loves taking time to get to know every client to ensure that personal style and preferences are emulated in a space. Beyond interiors, Gina is always seeking design and beauty in everyday life. She currently resides in Sebastopol, California with her husband and their growing family: Luna, their tripod dog, Frank and Bob, their rescue cats, and five sweet chickens. They are often found working on their home, gardening on their land, sipping wine, and discussing their next adventure.

The Oscars always remind us how many different forms art can take.

Film, acting, cinematography… and yes, even interiors.

Great movies transport us somewhere else for a few hours. Great design does something similar — shaping how we experience the spaces we live in every day. Mood, light, texture, composition… it’s all storytelling in its own way.

So for fun this year, we placed a few Best Picture nominees inside our interiors to see how the worlds collide.

Some feel dramatic.
Some feel quiet and beautiful.
Some feel like they belong exactly where they landed.

Safe to say we’re fans of all the creative minds behind these films tonight. Supporting the arts in every form always feels like the right thing to do.
