Pretty, pretty bowls. 🥰

The first pottery items I ever collected were bowls. Functional and pretty. I would set them out all over the house -- I still do! ❤️

Sometimes it’s nice to coordinate. Sometimes it’s nice to match. Today, we are matching. ☕️

Seeing the cups, creamer, and sugar bowl all together made me think about something else too…

I used to invite friends over for coffee, dessert, or a simple visit on a regular basis. Somewhere along the way, I stopped doing that. Now it’s more of a rare occasion.

What’s interesting is that studies continue to show that strong relationships and community can impact our health just as much, if not more, than things like diet and exercise. We were created for connection. 💕

Maybe it’s time to pull out a pretty plate, add a few cookies or treats, and invite a friend over for coffee.

I might be the rare exception here....do you still get together with friends, in your home, for coffee? 🤔🤔💕. Maybe dessert after dinner would be more my current style.

A few mug favorites while I’m away from the studio ☕️✨

Travel always leaves me feeling inspired by color, texture, and little handmade details. I’ve loved visiting pottery shops and seeing so much beautiful work while away. 💕

These mugs still remind me of slow mornings, cozy kitchens, and why I love making pottery in the first place.

This trip has left me feeling so inspired for the studio.💕

I can’t decide which one I love most 😍

I love using spoon rests as a place to experiment with new glaze ideas… and these fresh kiln unloads turned out SO good. 💕

Spoon rests are one of my favorite functional pieces to have around the house. I use mine for cooking spoons, coffee stirring spoons, tea bags, little cup covers… and it’s always nice to have an extra one waiting in the drawer when another is in the dishwasher. 😊

Which glaze would you bring home? 👀

I absolutely adore this vase!🥰 It's classy and yet has a "handmade persona" that distinguishes it and makes a statement.

I removed it from the kiln the morning of the website drop. (Sometimes I get a last minute firing in right before the drop). I made it for myself (the last picture shows the smaller sample I made first) but when I pulled it out of the kiln, I knew somebody would love it so I made another for myself. 😉

I originally saw a vase like it in a book that a friend gave me. I couldn't resist making one for myself. We get our inspiration in different places.

Where do you find your inspiration for your home? ✨

I love how easily these all mix and match—everything really plays well together.

I love pinks, blues, greens (especially the dark green glaze I use for the bowls--superb!!), yellows, and pretty much all colors. However, if you know me, you know this 👆🏼is my favorite color.
For me, it is a classic that draws you in with its warmth, it looks good with so many other colors, and complements its surroundings. A rich earth pigment. Overall, it's fantastic and you should all have this color somewhere in your home. Just saying. 🫶🏼
