Franken Tool Thursday 🛠🧪.
Hmm...maybe Friday would have fit better?🤔
Meet Sir Franken-Scraper! 🧟♂️✨
(Also known as Bob)
So one thing about pouring concrete statuary is that nobody is out here manufacturing specialized tools just for us.
Other than molds is there anything that we haven't adapted (serious question)? Thank you mold makers!
We become part chemist, part mad scientist, and professional backyard engineering improvisers.
All the blobs and drips while pouring; at least the ones that don't land in your shoe 🙄, end up on the floor, dry and become a miniature geology diorama. This is why Sir Franken Scraper was pieced together. A broken snow shovel handle and an old, rusty drywall knife. (I have no idea why I keep this stuff until an idea hits...usually after it's been in the way for a few years 🤦♀️. He may be ugly and finagled together, but he gets the job done!
I can’t be the only one out here making my own Franken-tool line or using something that works way better at a new job than its intended purpose. Someone has a butter knife that's done everything but touch butter, a box fan with a furnace filter strapped to it or put doors on a truck using a transmission jack? (Also used to install a cast iron kitchen sink)
Maybe we should start a Franken-Tool Thursday or something 🤷♀️. Winter is coming and a lot of us will need something to laugh about while we're confined. Drop a picture in the comments of that one Franken-tool that you have and can't live without! 🛠️👇
