Get the most out of those holiday candles by keeping the wick trimmed to 1/8 of an inch. Just snip it down with a pair of fingernail clippers before each lighting for the best most even burn every time. And if you're a "power burner" like me, put it out every 3-4 hours,trim it and just relight! It is safest to only burn a candle for the amount of hours as the diameter of your jar, but for the rebels out there, at least extinguish it and trim that wick! A house fire right before the holidays would definitely dampen the christmas spirit!
