God gave me a dream a few weeks ago.
I was standing there watching myself work on a piece. As I was working on it I saw a hand over my own guiding me in what this piece was supposed to be. The piece shifted and kept changing but there was always three elements in the wood that never changed. The baby, God's hand and the thumb print.
I drew the Hand of God cradling the baby. To cradle is to be held in a gentle and nurturing way. I drew the thumb print in place of the placenta because the placenta is an amazing organ. It transfers nutrients, removes waste, produces hormones, helps with immunity and fetal development. He thought of us before we were ever conceived and he knit us together in our mother's womb. We are created with awe-inspiring intricacy, care, and purpose. We are fearfully and wonderfully made and throughout our lives Jesus is an ever present part that keeps us going. I certainly would not be here today if it wasn't for the grace and mercy of God.
Please be reminded today that God loves you SO deeply. That he sent his only son to take our place upon that cross. And through that sacrifice we have the honor of accepting that sacrifice and accept Jesus as our Savior.
