LIDAR Windows and Doors

10/15/2026

It was a pleasure for LIDAR Windows & Doors to join fellow building and construction professionals at an industry event hosted by Master Builders and Glass Vice yesterday evening.
From exploring Glass Vice's four product ranges and innovative solutions to discussions about the future of the building sector, the event offered valuable insights and fresh perspectives.
New Zealand's Minister for Building and Construction shared his perspectives on industry challenges and future opportunities, highlighting the importance of quality, affordability and reliability, alongside ongoing efforts to modernise building regulations and support industry growth.
At LIDAR Windows & Doors, we value product quality, professional service and opportunities to connect and collaborate with industry partners.
Thank you to Master Builders and Glass Vice for bringing the industry together for such a valuable evening!

Exploring Architecture, Design & Industry Connections

Last night, LIDAR attended an industry networking event hosted by the Auckland Property Investors Association (APIA) at the new Fisher & Paykel Global Headquarters.

It was a pleasure to have Megan, General Manager at Fisher & Paykel, personally guide us through the building and share the design inspiration behind it. From the architecture and interior spaces to the landscaped gardens, the design beautifully reflects New Zealand's local and Māori culture, with artworks by Māori artists adding another meaningful touch.

As the new headquarters is not yet officially open to the public, we’ll hold off on sharing more photos for now. We look forward to another opportunity to explore this impressive space!

The event also brought together industry professionals to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing New Zealand’s construction and property development sectors.

As a nationwide New Zealand windows and doors manufacturer, LIDAR is always keen to stay connected with the industry, exchange ideas, and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

A big thank you to APIA for organising the event and to Fisher & Paykel for the warm hospitality!

A big congratulations to Absolute Homes on receiving a Silver Award for their Darfield home and a Bronze Award for their Kaiapoi home at this year’s Master Builders House of the Year Canterbury Regional Awards — all in their first year entering the awards! 🏆👏

We’re proud that our LIDAR Canterbury team supplied the windows and doors for both of these award-winning homes and played a part in bringing these projects to life.

It’s always great to see our clients’ hard work and craftsmanship recognised. Well done to the whole Absolute Homes team!

What a great day at Design Experience 2026 Auckland!

The LIDAR team had a fantastic time at Shed 10, catching up with familiar faces, meeting new people and sharing our latest window and door solutions with the architecture and design community.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand for a chat — it was great to see you!

This year’s theme, “Regionalism as Resistance”, also gave us plenty to think about, exploring how architecture can stay connected to its local landscape, culture and materials in an increasingly globalised world.

We also enjoyed hearing from Talbot Sweetapple of MacKay-Lyons Sweetapple Architects and his insights into architecture, place and regional identity.

Thanks to Design Experience for another great event. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
