Health Conscious Lifestyle Brand

City Girl Farming (CGF) is a new brand operating from a farm located on Sinsinawa Mound Collaborative Farm, approximately eight miles east of Dubuque, IA. CGF is owned and operated by Justyna Miranda in partnership with Amy Weber. Produce will be grown on a 1/8-acre parcel in the first season. Land is certified organic and organic farming will be practiced.

Originally from Poland, Justyna Miranda moved to Chicago, IL and pursued a career in restaurant management. She holds a bachelor degree in food and beverage management from Kendall College and has taught at Triton College. She is a level two Sommelier specializing in French wines. Justyna currently resides in Dubuque, IA. She began volunteering as a kitchen garden manager and grower for Four Mounds Inn and Conference Center in 2017. The experience reconnected her with values and practices she grew up with in Poland, appreciation for the land and working in harmony with nature. CGF is a direct result of that change.

Similar goals, principals and ideas of connecting food and people brought Justyna and Amy together. They are excited to be stewards of the land at Sinsinawa Collaborative Farm and in line with their mission to grow healthy foods and build a vibrant community.

2018 will be "City Girl Farming" first season of commercial production and sales. All production will be certified organic. Melons, heirloom summer and winter squash, pumpkin,

tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, potatoes, beets and flowers will be grown. Part of the produce will be processed into signature products, such as, pickled products, jams and jellies.

Produce will be available for sale with conjunction of other services such as personal prep

and cooking demonstrations for those who do not have an experience working with unprocessed produce but have a desire to learn how to transform it from start to finish, resulting in a beautiful, delicious meal.

Justyna has extensive experience in food management plus education in the culinary arts.

She is a level II Sommelier and is planning to utilize her wine knowledge to add value in services sold by creating exceptional experience for her customers and how it pairs with freshly and organically produced vegetables.

Justyna is available as a private household kitchen manager to help create balanced diet, prep and make suggestions for meals. Provide cooking instructions, arrange mise en place, help with planning dinner, and other parties and events, arrange flower bouquets.
