Sneak Peak: My view while I work on the heart of my piece that I think I'm calling "Through Unity, Survival"

I'm getting more and more excited for the Stand Up Against ICE event put on by at on March 28th! I'm especially excited to get to see the finished works of all the other artists and to raise money to help continue their awesome and necessary work of making South Dakota more diverse, inclusive and anti-racist. If you aren't already familiar with their work, go check out their website and see the many ways they have been helping immigrants, refugees, Muslim communities and more.

Jan 12, Rep. Pete Stauber introduced Joint Resolution 140, which would overturn the 20-year mining ban in the Boundary Waters watershed. Now, it's moved onto the Senate. This is urgent. If passed, it would erase current protections, reopen the door to sulfide-ore copper mining near the Boundary Waters, and block future administrations from using the same safeguards.
