I picked up pineapple teriyaki brats at 's Premium Meats & Sweets. Oh my goodness. They are outstanding! Run, don’t walk. I also made grilled potatoes and a vodka drink with homemade rosemary simple syrup, fresh lime, raspberry juice and sprite. Thanks Wisconsin for a taste of summer! 70 degrees!

Last night’s dinner surprised me. Whiting is delicate, flaky, and naturally sweet. Nothing fancy, just browned butter, capers, crispy potatoes, and fresh salted cabbage. Simple food done right always wins.

Sun-Kissed Shrimp Street Wrap- smoky corn, sweet shrimp with crisp edges, cool avocado, bright lime, a little whisper of cayenne heat. This one wasn’t planned. It was built from what was already on hand. Sometimes the best dishes are not recipes at all. They’re conversations between ingredients that were never meant to meet. There’s something satisfying about opening the fridge and thinking, let’s see what happens. No grocery list. No overthinking. Just layering flavors you already love until it feels like a grand slam. Fresh. Smoky. Bright. A little heat. A little cool.

The Pretend-It’s-Sunday Burrito brunch - I made these breakfast burritos this morning. It was fried potatoes and butter and salt, and then very small diced onions and very small diced red peppers. And I added garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and a little chili powder. And then I diced up a little fresh ham and I made eggs with a little cream, salt, and pepper and scrambled them and added it to everything else. And then I melted cheese and then I put them in a tortilla that was browned in butter and tallow It was so, so, so, so good. And I served it with fresh lime lemon and orange squeezed mimosas. And we sat around and watched the Olympics under our blankies as we pretended it was Sunday and Sunday brunch. 😬. Best *Sunday ever. 🤣

Lasagna. We all make it a little the same- we all make it a little different. I use hamburger and sausage, adding in fennel, fresh garlic (lots) basil, oregano, a little cheddar, parm, ricotta, parsley, fresh tomatoes and onions…. How do you like yours!?
