Every Challah Board starts with a piece of beautiful cherry wood. 🌳

This is the first step in the process—cutting the boards down to 16-inch lengths.

There's quite a bit that happens between a rough piece of wood and the finished board… and we're going to let you see some of it. 😊

🍂 A little bit of fall is starting to make its way into Dandy’s…

We love this time of year — when the leaves begin to change, the air gets a little cooler, and our homes start feeling a little cozier.

These two handmade pieces are just a couple of the fall decorations we’ve been working on. From the rustic “hello autumn” sign to our playful pumpkin “FALL” sign, each one brings a little warmth and character to your home.

It may still be August, but we’re starting to get ready for fall at Dandy’s. 🍁❤️

Ever wonder what happens before a piece of beautiful cherry wood becomes one of our finished boards?

Right now, these cherry boards are hanging out and acclimating in our shop. 🌳

Wood is a natural material, and giving it time to adjust to its new environment is an important part of making sure our finished boards are made with care and built to last.

Once they're ready, these boards will be transformed into beautiful Challah bread board and charcuterie board blanks.

From there, we'll sand, shape, and engrave them to create the finished pieces you see in our shop.

So, for now... they're just hanging out in our garage, getting ready for their next chapter. 😊

There's some beautiful Dandy's craftsmanship waiting to happen, and we're excited to see what these boards become!
