My pencil drawings have always felt like a return to my roots. Growing up on my family’s farm in Delaware, I spent countless hours observing whatever was around me—weathered barns, winding fence lines, soft fields, and the quiet rhythm of country life. Those early moments shaped the way I see the world, and I long for the open fields of yesterday amongst all of the developments of today.
I use soft, detailed lines and subtle shading to create sketches that carry a sense of timeless elegance. The neutral tones—warm grays, cool blacks, and gentle white highlights—bring a calming, sophisticated feel that blends beautifully with so many décor styles. There’s something grounding about the simplicity of pencil on paper, especially when paired with the warmth of those childhood memories.
Whether framed on a wall or styled as part of a curated display, my sketches add a quiet depth and an artistic balance to any space. They allow other design elements to shine while offering a sense of harmony—much like the peaceful balance I long for as I remember my hometown.
