The Safe Girls Home has been an important organization to me for over 10 years now. It's incredible to think that just one story (the story of the woman that turned my heart toward this organization) can make such an impact. I heard her story at my church over 10 years ago, and just about 7 years ago I started partially sponsoring a girl at the home. Giving to this organization has been such a joyful experience for me, and being able to see young girls given opportunities, resources, and access to the gospel is really meaningful to me 🤍 5% of all of my art sales are given to the Safe Girls Home. Read more below:

"When Senegalese pastor Mamadou and his wife, Marie, first learned of a number of girls in neighboring communities and outlying villages who were at risk of being trafficked, they knew their church needed to help. They decided to open their own home to these girls and provide them with a safe haven. Families in impoverished communities often send their young girls out to work or give them away to someone else for money, putting them at risk of being trafficked.

Initially taking in a handful of girls, their ministry has grown to now caring for 36 girls, and they recently moved into a new building. The girls not only receive food, shelter, and an education, but also learn about the love of Jesus through the involvement of the local church. the goal is to help them grow and give them skills to support themselves and their families. Many of the girls have come to Christ, and the ministry prays that many more will come to know him. "

I’m back! 🥳

Shew, these past couple weeks have been no joke 😅 I’ve been working on cleaning, organizing, renovating, and painting a nursery and a classroom at my church! In the nursery I painted a mural (2nd photo), and I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to lift my arm again after 5 days straight of painting at a right angle 🤣 but it was all worth it! I love how it turned out! 😍

Now I can get back to working on transferring my website to a new platform, and getting all the new things ready for fall 🤩🍂

I'm also working on a project for my church at the moment, and will be pretty busy with that for a couple weeks, so I'm gonna take a small break from posting to lighten my load a little 🥰
