Knitting One Liners by Stacy Mitchell

Knitting One Liners by Stacy Mitchell Knitting wisdom for the discriminating knitter. Knitter, crocheter, quilter. Dabbled in fabric crafts, scrapbooking, jewelry making, and paper crafts.

Now I'm sharing my love of crafts with my original designs that celebrate crafters. My designs are available on a variety of items - from t-shirts to mug, door mats to passport covers. I'll still be sharing tips and techniques for crafters, because I've not stopped making stuff!

New to knitting?
1. Start simple! The project doesn't have to be large - a simple scarf, hat, or cowl are all great starts. Dishcloths are great too.
2. Knit on your project every day, even if it is only for a row or two. This accomplishes two things: daily practice of your new skill and your project grows.
3. Mistakes are just advanced techniques. Just about everything you accidentally do while learning - from making a hole (advanced knitters call that lace) to dropping a column of stitches (yep, there are patterns that do that on purpose, too). Obviously, the idea is to learn to do these things on purpose instead of by accident!
