Happy Native American Heritage Month! 💛🖤❤️
In case you haven’t noticed, I have been pretty MIA from social media (👻) which was unplanned but sorta necessary in order to focus my time and energy on helping plan the first-ever Indigenous Women’s Fire Training Exchange (TREX) held here in Karuk Country on Sept 26-Oct 7th. ❤️🔥 It was an incredible program and soooo amazing being able to plan things from start to finish with a team of Karuk Women and lots of local support! I know some of you out there following my page don’t know me that well or maybe at all, but this training exchange was a perfect culmination of things that I am most passionate about culturally, professionally, academically, etc. so it was immensely gratifying and empowering to give back and work with Indigenous women, men, trans & allies from all over the US, Canada, and Australia that are revitalizing Indigenous fire practices on their homelands. I definitely recommend checking out to learn more about how this first exchange went and to see about future opportunities to get engaged if you’re interested! 🔥

I also got to make the t-shirts for this event using ’s amazing art!! 🙌🏽 Finding time to make 150+ shirts while running a 2-week long fire training program with >90 participants was tough lol, BUT it helped me be able to invest in a more inspirational office space for the busy holiday season! 🎄
Anywho, sorry for the long post but I am happy to have more time to get back to creating things now 😌 …at least as much as I’m able to while “training” my newest assistant who’s only 8 months old and teething… just adding that to manage expectations. 🥴😅
