TDC Re-Creations Weekend maker, full-time dreamer who hates to waste good stuff! I upcycle previous used items into one-of-a-kind creations

I’m a maker at heart who loves giving new life to old things! This is my creative outlet outside of my full-time job — a place to turn recycling into something beautiful. I transform old magazines, catalogs and other discarded paper into unique, bowls and art. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation, giving new life to forgotten paper. Using worn-out clothes and denim, I create handcrafted rugs and

other items— each one unique and full of character. I also make reusable sandwich wraps (the only thing I sew from new fabric!).

🌧️🎨 ART BEAT IS ON! 🎨🌧️

Rain or shine, Art Beat presented by Everwise Credit Union is moving forward as planned tomorrow, Saturday, August 15!

We’ve been closely monitoring the forecast and consulting with a meteorologist. While both Saturday and Sunday are showing periods of rain, just at different times throughout the day, moving to Sunday would not provide a clear, rain-free alternative. So, we’re sticking with Saturday and getting ready to celebrate!

This year, let's lean into it and call it RAIN BEAT! ☔️😉

If you’re joining us tomorrow, come prepared for the weather:
☔️ Bring your rain gear
👟 Dress for changing conditions
🎨 Be ready to shop, eat, listen and explore—even if there’s a little rain!

A little rain won’t stop us from celebrating art, music, food and our incredible creative community in downtown South Bend.

We know there has been a lot of uncertainty surrounding the forecast, and we appreciate everyone’s patience while we worked through the decision. Now that the decision is made, let’s get ready for Art Beat!

We’ll continue monitoring weather conditions throughout the event and communicate any safety-related changes if they become necessary.
