Ok ok I know i know its been a minute. Ive been busy busy with life and such. My CSM approached me and asked me to make a new display for our BN NCO Saber. He had 2 request, 1st make the display in the design of our Group Patch... and the 2nd was make the saber and scabbard form an x pattern. Once I had time I was able to tackle this issue so that it will hopefully last many many years. After a bit of time planning and getting the material. I got the size and started.. this was a very very challenging one and required me to manually bend wood to form how I needed it... many cuts and scrapes later I can say that while its not perfect, it turned out extremely well.

I know ive been absent with my post but that doesnt mean ive been absent with my building. Work got busy and planning to move in the upcoming months. I was going to wait for this post, but I wanted to do it now while its on my mind. This customer reached out to me regarding a very interesting project that she needed. Now ive built things for her in the past, she is a wedding planner, so I was curious as to what she was wanting. She said she wanted a bar that can collapse and store for multiple venues. I told her I could meet her deadline but wanted to make modifications to her idea. She agreed to the modifications after I explained to her that these changes would make this bar last longer. Well what wasnt expected is I got an infection in my foot that hindered my ability to work on this for a few days. I cut it close but I still managed to meet the deadline and she loves it! Ill post pictures of it being used once I get them but for now. Here are the pictures I took.

Sooo even though its been pretty busy I figured id take the time to post this. I completely forgot to mention that around the same time as I posted the plaques someone had reached out about an earring display so im posting it here. Also, I got around to finishing the box that I wanted to make and even though i have to remake it, due to a small mistake, it turned out really really well.

This week was a long one. I made 3 going away plaques for people in my unit. Each person was unique and I felt required their own design. On top of that I had someone get with me about an earring display that was bigger than i made at first. All due by friday... all delivered by Friday. Thank you everyone for trusting me with this. Soooo I was in the shop trying to figure out what to build next when I seen a template for a handle. I then looked over and seen this wood i have that has a beautiful grain pattern. I then spend the next few days building this big beautiful thing. I think it matches the coaster really well.
