“Don’t talk about caterpillars. 🐛 Don’t talk about caterpillars. 🐛 Don’t talk about…”

BUT I CAN’T QUIT TALKING ABOUT CATERPILLARS! 🤭 So if you’re still here, you’re my people!!! 🥰 🦋

I have 2 more chrysalises left so stay tuned in stories for all that! Because I can’t quit talking about caterpillars (and butterflies!) 😄

And I can’t tell you how grateful I am for milkweed bouquets and butterfly enclosures! 🦋

05/27/2026

I just spent a few weeks witnessing a worm (caterpillar) demolish milkweed like a teenage boy, create a chrysalis, and then emerge a butterfly one week later. A worm spent a week in a chrysalis and came out a butterfly. Different color. Different texture. Different shape. Different mode of transportation. I saw the whole thing and can’t explain any of it.

Jesus, the same Jesus who engineered caterpillars and chrysalises and butterflies, said that unless we are born again we can’t enter heaven. New birth.

What does that mean???!

Paul said that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

I keep thinking the butterfly is meant to tell us something. Show us something.

I’m leaning in to listen. Aren’t you? 🐛🦋

Who’s up for planting ice cube poppies? ❤️ These are actually Shirley poppies I think. I planted several different kinds but these are the only ones that made it. I’m not complaining because they’ve given me a whole load of happiness when they greet me as I come home.

I’ve been craving slower evenings lately.

The kind where you walk through a garden with a drink in your hand,
talk about flowers and life and favorite plants,
sit around a table together, and
stay outside until the sun starts going down.

So in June, I’m opening my home for a very small summer evening garden stroll.

We’ll stroll the gardens together and talk flowers, then gather on the back deck for a snack, sweet tea, conversation, and something I’m oddly excited about... flower bingo.

Which is exactly what it sounds like.
A game. A flower chat. A giveaway. And probably a lot of laughing.

This won’t feel like a formal workshop or a big event.

Just a thoughtful summer evening with women who love gardens, flowers, and slowing down for a minute. And if we hit it just right, we might just catch a sunset.

There are only 25 spots available.

Comment SLOW DOWN and I’ll send you a link or you can find the tickets on my website at heyhoneysuckle.com.
