Did a little weekend pop up at the Haus of Wax Velvet Couch Candle Co. ✨ ✨ ••

It felt so lovely to get out, mingle, and show my art off locally in a room full of creative artisans, and makers. ••

I may have over indulged in sourdough bread with craft olive oil + balsamic + cheese, but I have no regrets. ••

Being in a room full of women working their dreams was inspiring, and it reminded me why I love small business. ••

If you would have told me 12 years ago when I bought my first skull from a new and used shop, that I’d eventually be an artist that sold her work all over the country and world. I would have laughed at you. ••

It took me two years to attempt and toy with the idea. It took me another few months to make a page and an Instagram… within a few months I’d sent a skull to Australia. ••

AUSTRALIA. ••

That in itself is was a learning curve. ••

But here I am, 10 years later. And because I decided to go for it, I ended up “writing the book.” ••

So to speak, of skull art. ••

Just a gal from Wisconsin, of all places. ••
