Check out this beautiful wrapped work by Ruby using our recycled sari and chiffon ribbons 😍 If you zoom in you can see lots of lovely little beaded details. I took a walk thru our wetland backyard forest this past weekend, admiring the moss, lichen and fungi growing on fallen and upright tree trunks - and these pieces are giving the same earthy, grounding vibe 🌳🥰

🌟2016🌟
This was the MOST EPIC year of change for me.
• It started with a bang. I mean, bangs. And my art featured in a designer showcase for a real estate project in downtown Jersey City.
• I quit my PR job to pursue making fiber art for Niroma Studio full time
• My boys were tiny cherubs, the apartment was a mess, always (the house still is, some things don’t change.)
• My husband helped me make and sell cute little wall hooks
• was IT. There was lots of trying to be sexy and beautiful and ethereal with rope
• Macrame wedding arches - I think I made 7! Bring them back!
• I taught weaving classes, and made lots of local creative friends thru IG who were way better than me at staging and photographing. I miss these collabs 😔
• I officially launched the supply side of Niroma Studio with raw natural cotton - do we want this back?
• Closed out the year as a blonde 👩‍🦳

It took me a while to hop on this trend because I feel wistful for this time. We used to really connect on this platform and going through my camera roll made me realize how it was filled with so much hope and activity and growth and connection. Today feels very much the opposite for me, but I guess nothing lasts forever. We evolve, we grow in different ways, we lose collagen in our faces, our kids get taller than us. It all happens really fast and I’m not ready for any of it.
