☔️ On these rainy/cold spring days, one of my favorite hobbies is baking coffee cakes to pair with a warm cup of coffee. Here’s a simple and delicious sour cream coffee cake recipe to brighten up your day — made with love by Mely’s Kitchen 💛🍰
Sour Cream Coffee Cake Recipe:
Ingredients:
• 1 cup butter (softened)
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup sour cream
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the cinnamon swirl:
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 tbsp cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch pan.
2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
3. Mix in sour cream and vanilla.
4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
5. Pour half the batter into the pan. Sprinkle half the cinnamon swirl mix. Add the rest of the batter and top with remaining swirl mix.
6. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool slightly and enjoy!
