I have a BFA with an emphasis on painting and printmaking and BAE in Visual Arts and French. After two years as a substitute I got my first teaching job at the local high school. It has been a few more years now and I transitioned from the photography teacher to full time French teacher. I love seeing items in stores or online and figuring out how to make them myself. I often have artistic urges a
nd I have to make something right away. It's also an amazing way to relax after a long day at school. After years of accumulating things, really random things, I decided that instead of buying new items to add to the pile I would try to figure out what to do with things that I had collected. Instead of just tossing them I started cutting, gluing, and painting some of them. From that point on I really enjoyed the challenge of giving these old pieces a new life. I have now also added a young son to my life and I am trying to create projects not only to entertain him but also inspire him to be creative and enjoy making his own arts and crafts.
