"It's hard to beat a person, who never gives up."
It's not beat in the sense of competition. It's beat in the sense of giving up, giving in, and dissolving in hard times.
When I realized starting a design firm from scratch was no easy task...I dunno...about 5 minutes in....I knew I had to be all in, or not in at all. There is no in between. What it takes to be a successful mostly woman ran business (yes most of my staff and talent are women!!!) will require all of you. It will require humility when you screw up, diligence when you don't wanna show up, and consistency consistency consistency when calendars need filled up!

Do you know why I am consistent and diligent? Because I believe in my craft. I believe in my abilities. I truly feel and know I am great at what I do, and I know how to treat my clients well. I know what I offer is valuable. Our homes are where we do "life". Where we meet our children and families. Where we recharge for this challenging world. Damn right what I do is important. It's not just decorating and furniture and layouts . It is HOME.

I feel exceedingly blessed that my passion and talent and grit can collide, daily. I get to do what I love. With no design or architecture degree myself ( though those on my team have such), I still soar. I soar, because I refuse to give up.

How to style an entry? Keep it...
-Organic. Live plants do well in a lot of entries because of the natural light.
-Clean. Avoid clutter and keep accessories minimal. Avoid key hooks and coat hooks, unless there is no coat closet present. It tends to clutter the space. If you need storage, opt for something like this peice to where you can store your items inside drawers.
-Use MIRRORS. My favorite wall hanging to use because it is functional. One last outfit check before departing out the door. And of course it maximizes the feel of the room, as mirrors always open up the space to feel larger! Hang mirrors 4-8" above entry table.

Gina's advice on choosing styling details...
Take EVERY OPPORTUNITY to elevate a space with detailllls.

How you ask? ...In order of pics :

1-Use container fillers that are not common. No more potpourri bowls and wicker or wooden balls, friends.

2-When in doubt a clean simple stack of books does the trick. Switch out the spine colors to coordinate with the overall esthetic.

3- 4 Choose details that have function. Ask yourself, how does this room get USED?....and make decisions accordingly. Kaaa-uuute matches with black 🖤 match tips for the win. 🏆

4-Playyy with FUN placement! Nothing makes a design stand out more than playing with non conventional ways of styling to both grab attention and spark whim!!! Play play play !

With enough creativity you really can elevate any space, and though you DO need funds allocated, the budget doesn't need to be to the moon. 🌙 😉
