There’s something special about being where the magic happens. ✨

Our founder Zellipah recently visited the artisan workshop in Kenya where our new glass wind chimes are being handmade, each one carefully crafted, piece by piece, in a process that blends creativity, tradition, and pure joy.

No factory. No shortcuts. Just skilled hands transforming recycled glass into one-of-a-kind chimes that catch the light, sing in the breeze, and instantly elevate any porch, patio, or garden space.

These are the kind of products customers stop for… and come back to buy again.

🌿 Handmade
🌍 Fair Trade
🎐 One-of-a-kind designs
♻️ Made from recycled glass

Our glass wind chimes are officially ready for wholesale orders, and they’re already becoming a favorite.

May is Africa Month, and today, on Africa Day, we have a celebration of unity, culture, and the spirit of a continent that continues to inspire the world.

At Gitzell FairTrade, Africa isn’t just where our products come from,it’s where our relationships live. It’s the women weavers finishing baskets after long days in the fields. It’s the artisans carving stone by hand, keeping generational craftsmanship alive. It’s the stories, the skill, and the pride woven into every piece.

Today we celebrate the makers, the materials, and the communities we’re honored to work alongside. We are continually inspired by the creativity, resilience, and beauty that comes from across Africa.

Happy Africa Day. 🤍

NEW SOAPSTONE ITEMS ARE HERE 🤍🪨

This video is a behind-the-scenes look at what fair trade really means. Our founder Zellipah is on the ground in Kenya working directly with artisans who hand-carve each piece from authentic Kisii stone, a rare soapstone found only in the Kisii region.n

Soapstone carving is not easy work. It’s physical, time-consuming, and requires real skill, patience, and precision. Every bowl, figurine, and carving is shaped by hand—no shortcuts, no machines, just craftsmanship passed down through generations.

We’re proud to officially introduce our newest soapstone collection, now available to shop on our website.

✨ New bowls
✨ New animal figurines
✨ Organic carved shapes
✨ Assorted colors + natural finishes

Want the full story behind the artisans and why this craft matters?
We just published a new blog sharing our partnership with Undugu Fair Trade and the community in Tabaka.Undugu Fair Trade..

Everything begins with the earth.

The grasses, fibers, and materials used in our products are grown, gathered, and woven by hand, rooted in traditions that respect the land and the communities who care for it.

On Earth Day, we reflect on the importance of preserving these practices. Sustainability isn’t just about materials. It’s about people, process, and the future we’re helping to shape.
