📢 A Monstrous Tester Call! 📢

I'm searching for 5-8 people to test my Monster Base pattern.

Looking to finish by May 22 (a little over 3 weeks from now)

Use any yarn combo and monster theme you wish. Pick from bicolor face design (seen on the yeti) or plain. You may use fuzzy yarn, acrylic yarn, or a combo of both. The pattern includes safety eye instructions and a pattern for crochet eyes (seen on the yeti). Teeth can be sewn or glued on, but I recommend sewing with a hand needle and matching regular sewing thread.

Instagram group chat will be open but is not required. You may send your results via email if you prefer.

Testers will be asked to submit at least one photo of finished work by the last day of the test.

NOTE: This pattern does NOT include any mushroom, frog or other details seen on the Forest Guardian version. I have a pattern for the frog available in my shop, but it will not be a part of this design. I want this pattern to be a base form that you can add your own flair and imagination to!

This is the next pattern I plan to do a tester call for next week: the Monster! A base pattern to theme around anything you like. My next one is going to be a Bigfoot! What theme monster would you make? 🤔

I've been working on these for a year so pardon my frolicking.

I haven't been working on them steadily for a year, of course. But the original idea is about 1 year old atp. It feels SO GOOD to finally be finished with this one! It was a massively complicated pattern (at least for me) not to make but to write so that it was clear to others and not just my own convoluted brain 😁

I can't wait to see all the versions of this one! I'm planning a traditional orange one next with an ombre worked into the sts.

The ombre idea is what made the pattern so annoying to conceive. u wanted the sts on each panel to run in the same direction so I could achieve the ombre in my mind.

I also wanted the pattern to be double-sided, meaning there is no "wrong" side to these wings. they're not made like a tapestry crochet, but more like a puzzle. Once you see my time lapse of them being made you'll know what I mean.

Thank you so much to all my testers who were so kind and fast and skilled! I adore all your chunky unicorn creations with all my heart. I especially enjoy how varied the sizes turned out between all the different gauges everyone used.

Friends, today I ask for a moment of silence to mourn my dear friend....this frog. That's right, he was just born (from my hook) and now he's gone. Forever. I think.

He was a good frog. Super smol. Super cutsie. He was made with discontinued yarn and sat on my desk every day watching me work. Until that fateful day when my toddler found him and demanded to "play" with him. Like a fool, I allowed it. And just like I had thought, it wasn't long before our dear friend was sodden (with water, not anything nasty).

I thought I could save him. I thought there was a chance. But I was still a fool. I placed my dear frog friend outside in the sunshine where I thought: "He'll dry out in a few hours, and I'll bring him back inside." Ah, the thoughts of a hopeful woman, dashed by her own ADHD addled brain! And so, like a dummy, I LEFT MY FROGGY FRIEND OUTSIDE. AND HE WAS TAKEN/EATEN BY AN UNKNOWN CREATURE OF THE NIGHT.

When I searched for him the next morning beneath the fence where I thought he would be safe from prying eyes...he was gone. Nowhere to be found. I am a m*rderer, of possibly two creatures: my fibrous frog friend...and whatever potentially ate him. Let's all pray that whoever found our dear Mr. Frog spat him out once he realized it wasn't...you know a real frog.

Anyway, be careful with your plushies out there, people. If you make them realistic enough, anything can happen 🪦🐸💔

BUYER BEWARE: this shop "PopsLuxuryVault" is selling a fake or stolen version of my popular flower hood design. I knew this would happen eventually and that Etsy wouldn't do anything to protect me or their buyers from it. So I have to do what I can, and that's make this annoying spammy-looking post. It's the last thing I feel like spending my time on, but I don't want people thinking whatever they buy from "Tracy" remotely reflects my true work.

Whatever you buy from that shop is either my STOLEN pattern or a fake AI version of it, which will yield untold results. Please do not waste your money on this total garbage. And if you have time, please take a moment to report the listing and/or the shop to hopefully get this "bestseller" taken down permanently. It's a long shot, but the more ppl take action the better shot we have of Etsy actually doing something.

I'm sad and disappointed in Etsy for forcing me to make this post. They should be removing these fake, fraudulent, STOLEN listings that go against their own policies.

Please be careful when purchasing on Etsy. All of my designs are available on Ravelry and Topstitchescrochet.com where NO AI is allowed.
