Happy 2023! Welcome to a year that is less than 24 hours old. if you are like me, you have spent some time today remembering the last year and dreaming about the new one.
Here's a few snap shots from my 2022 year:
- My daughter started her first full time "grown-up" job after graduating from college the prior December. I'm so happy that she decided to cohabitate with us and I've enjoyed spending time with the adult version of the girl who grew up in our house.
- The CTMH incentive trip to Hawaii finally was able to happen in February. It was wonderful to spend a week in Maui with some of the most kind, creative, fun-loving, and inspirational people on the planet at one of the most beautiful places on earth. Eric & I also were able to work in a couple of scuba days for some underwater adventures.
- In August, I lost my mom and am still learning how to live without her just a call or text away. She had a rough time leading up to her final days and I'm thankful she is no longer in pain and reunited with Jesus, my dad and others who went before.
- We spent a week in Cozumel the first week of December. The first three days were amazing both above and below the water. On the forth morning, Eric wasn't feeling great so he decided to take a nap while Emily and I spent some time in the spa. Long story short, that evening he went by ambulance and spend the last three nights of our trip in the hospital. I'm thankful that he is recovering well and should be fully back to normal soon.
It was a full year with both tough times and happy memories. The new year calendar is already filling up and there are so many things that I'm looking forward to. What memories do you have of 2022? What are your plans for 2023?
